Hyderabad is a city which is  4th largest in India for the size of its urban population. It has  82% average literacy rate which is above  the National average, ranked 1st in the country towards human resource development,  Proactive Government and Leadership, Corporate Governance , Metro train connectivity, Award winning International Airport, Corporate infrastructure developed par excellence are some of the other achievements of Hyderabad.

Hyderabad is now home to some of largest establishments in India. Establishments and organisations towards Indian defense, Geographical research centre, Education centre, Pharmaceutical & Biotechnology industrial centre, and IT/ITES hub. The City growth slowed down due to the bifurcation process from the main State; has been accelerated since the year 2014 and in these 4+ years Hyderabad has now become an established home to India’s largest IT Corridor in the HiTec City, Gachbowli, Bahadurpally and Uppal area; India’s largest Biotech Park Corridor in the Shamirpet, India’s largest Aerospace infrastructure for research and development in the area of Shamiret and Adibatla.

The sleeping giant has awakened ever since the year 2014 and shown a humongous transformation into an established Hub for Infromation Technology (IT) &  Infromation Technology Enabled Services (ITES) companies. The major thrust for growth of the IT/ ITES is towards the West of Hyderabad in to areas of Madhapur, HiTec City, Kondapur, Gachibowli & Kokapet.

Hyderabad offers the most affordable office rental space & residential housing rentals amongst all cities in Southern part of India.

It is therefore no surprise that more and more Expats are accepting assignments to Hyderabad.

For Expat housing; the real estate market is complex and usually managed through agents. One may need extensive hand holding support through the process of identifying suitable housing and going through the process of negotiations, registration of the contract/ agreement in the Government offices/ courts, getting property to be in liveable condition and property moving in process. Although there is a  sufficient supply in the market; finding a high quality apartment of Western standards is usually a challenging exercise.

Expats prefer living in areas of HiTec City (Madhapur and Kondapur), Gachibowli, Nanakramguda, Kokapet and Kukatpally. Expat housing is available as Apartments & Villas in gated communities.

Hyderabad has reputed International school options to select from, offering both excellent academic guidance as well as a wide range of extra-curricular activities for all round development. These   schools may offer ISC, IGCSE and IB. It is best to start school admission process as early as possible in order to be able to secure a seat in the International school.

Hyderabad is considered a melting pot of India, where people from across the country, religions and cultures choose to take up assignments and jobs. With this influx of people and talent, the infrastructure is keeping pace. With Corporations like Amazon, Apple, Google, Microsoft, State Street Bank, IKEA, Boeing,  Qualcomm investing heavily into Hyderabad, need for quality, trained manpower is creating jobs which is an attraction not just for Expatriates but also Domestic Mobility of Indian people.

While the focus on Big 100 continues the city is also focused on Small businesses and Start Ups. As per a study – there are 100 SMB’s setting up on the Hyderabad – Warangal Highway. With Hyderabad’s close proximity to cities like Amravati, Bengaluru & Nagpur; various logistics and manufacturing companies are setting up new units in Hyderabad.

Telangana Government has facilitated a Start Up Hub in Hyderabad which is called as the T-Hub. T-Hub is India’s largest incubator for startups which is Headquartered in Hyderabad. T-Hub is a unique public/private partnership between the government of Telangana, 3 of India’s premier academic institutes (IIIT-H, ISB & NALSAR) and key private sector leaders. T-Hub are anchoring the entire Hyderabad startup ecosystem with a state-of-the-art 70,000 square foot building called CatalysT, the largest building in India to be entirely dedicated to entrepreneurship. Located at the IIIT-H Campus, Gachibowli, the sprawling building will bring the start-up community together.
